The Company’s managerial and technical experience accumulated long before its legal incorporation in Hong Kong. Since 1968, the Company’s managers have worked for the Holy Industry Corporation in Taiwan which manufactured computer accessories such as keyboards, cage cover, PC casing and hard diskette metal covers.
In 1979, the Company’s managers transferred to and worked for the Taiwan Pigeon, a joint venture formed by Holy Industries Limited and a Japanese firm, Tokyo Pigeon. Taiwan Pigeon’s main products were the cassette tape deck mechanisms. However, due to the change of economic environments in Taiwan, Tokyo Pigeon decided to retreat its investment in 1988, and one year later, the Company’s managers and some shareholders of the Holy Industries Limited formed the Lihtse Limited inTaipei,Taiwan with a share capital of NTD48,000,000.
Lihtse Limited later held a controlling interest in Tri-honor Limited, and subsequently transferred its interest to Vernco Group Limited. In 1992, Lihtse Limited has diversified its business into motor vehicle engine production. As a result, Tontse Industrial Company Limited was established with share capital of NTD60,000,000. Its product lines ranged from 50 c.c. to 175 c.c. engines, and sales in 1990 of 4,000 sets increased to 270,000 sets by the end of 1999. To cope with the business development, at the end of 1999, Tontse Industrial Company Limited was merged with Ngai Lik Industrial Holdings Limited, a listed company in Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Over the years, the Company invested a lot of resources for the development and improvement of a higher quality and durable tape mechanisms. As a result of this research and development, different product lines and features, such as logic deck,single deck and double deck mechanism, playing auto-stop and auto-reverse deck, walkman CD deck have been marketed. From 1989 to 1999, the annual sales of were increased from 1,500,000 to over 9,000,000 sets of cassette tape mechanisms.
Following the success of improving the cassette tape deck mechanisms, and while maintaining the Company’s core business competency the Company intensifies its investment to other side of manufacturing technology --- Satellite Receiver. In two years time, the Satellite Receiver sells to many European and South American countries such as Germany, France and United Kingdom. The trading results are encouraging. Furthermore, before the end of this year, the Company plans to manufacture a more advance Digital Satellite Receiver, using the state of art technology from co-partners from United Kingdom and Taiwan.
In the Past, Vernco were mainly in Consumer Electronics Products filed and from 2007 we do switching into LED Lighting & Electronics Surgical Products Field. For LED Lighting would be concentrating on indoor usage like Lamp Tube 8Watts/60cm which can replace normal FL 20Watts, and 15Watts/120cm can replace FL 40Watts; LED Bulbs 3Watts can replace 40Watts and 5Watts can replace 80Watts and 8W can replace 120Watts.
